Punta Cana & Cap Cana

Presentation :

Punta Cana is located in the province of La Altagracia, on the eastern end of the country, and is the country’s main beach resort. It has about 50,000 inhabitants, but receives a large number of tourists throughout the year. It is world renowned and one of the most popular destinations in the Caribbean.

Punta Cana stretches for dozens of kilometers between Cap Cana to the south and Macao Beach to the north.

Punta Cana has an international airport that connects with numerous airports in North America, South America and Europe. The majority of visitors (30%) come from the USA, followed by Canada.

BÁVARO

Bávaro is a city on the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic, part of the municipality of Punta Cana, in the province of La Altagracia, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Bávaro has very long white sand beaches, planted with coconut trees and protected by a coral reef, including Playa Arena Gorda, Playa Arena Blanca, Playa Cortecito and Playa Bávaro.

The area is very popular with tourists, and more than 100 hotels, hotel residences and aparthotels for western tourists line the beach. Many operate on an all-inclusive basis, typical of the Dominican Republic, and each hotel recognizes its guests with colored wristbands.

Areas close to the sea, such as Cortecito, or those with golf courses, such as Cocotal Golf or Cana Bay Golf Course, are the best in terms of rental profitability. Some areas of Bávaro are very far from the sea and certain centers of interest.

CAP CANA

Cap Cana, located in the southern part of Punta Cana, is synonymous with luxury. It is a gated and totally secure community made up of different residences, villas and luxury hotels. Here the classic all-inclusive system is forgotten and the door is opened to luxury.

Cap Cana has golf courses, a private beach, a renowned international school, a polo center and, above all, an incredible marina with 150 boats from which you can practice deep-sea fishing if you feel like it.

The Cap Cana marina is also home to upscale stores and famous bars and restaurants. Cap Cana is the ideal place for those seeking a luxurious lifestyle in the tropics.

Macao

At the northernmost point of Punta Cana is Macao Beach, one of the least frequented public beaches in the Punta Cana region, far from most hotels and resorts, but which in recent years has experienced a tourism boom.

Popular with locals, this stretch of white sand is considered one of the most beautiful coastal getaways in the Dominican Republic, with crystal blue waters and a boardwalk famous for its surfable waves.

Profitability and capital gain

Punta Cana is world famous and one of the most visited destinations in the Caribbean. It is made up of many of the all-inclusive hotels that have made it famous, as well as a large number of apartment residences that are being built with increasing frequency.

However, Punta Cana does not have the highest occupancy rate in the country, which is Bayahibe. This is due to the fact that many of the new residential developments are far away from the beach or places of interest, although it is the proximity to beaches and places of interest that tourists are looking for.

That is why it is so important for people who are not looking to settle down, but rather to get a good return on their investment in rental properties, to work with a good real estate agent who can advise them on the most attractive areas of Punta Cana to invest in. If your property is strategically located (near the beach or a place of interest) and has good services, you can make an excellent investment.
