Diving

In the northeast of the Dominican Republic lies the beautiful and well-preserved Samaná Peninsula, where lush mountain scenery blends with deserted white sandy beaches against a backdrop of royal palm trees. But it is also a small paradise for divers.

Las Terrenas

Around the town of Las Terrenas there are about ten dive sites, with caves, wrecks and drop-offs.
The nearest dive sites are 15 minutes away by boat, around the small islets called Las Ballenas, such as Cinco Metros, Piedra Marcel, the Corales site and Cuevitas. It is also possible to dive on wrecks in Portillo. relaxed until late at night.

Cabo Cabrón

Only one hour away by boat is the 39 km2 Cabo Cabrón National Park, located at the northern tip of the Samaná peninsula. At the edge of limestone cliffs shaped by the ocean and covered by lush tropical vegetation, you can dive at Farola Island and El Ferry (lunch included).
This excursion takes us to the splendid bay of Samana, where we will dive in two very different sites: “Farola Island” and “El Ferry”.

Cenote

For a change of pace, you can also dive in one of the most beautiful cenotes in the Dominican Republic, just an hour and a half drive from Las Terrenas.
Cenote Dudu is formed by 2 lakes connected by 2 tunnels plus a 3rd tunnel that leads to a “cathedral”. Caves, tunnels and stalactites will fill you with awe. Diving in cenotes is very different from diving in the sea. In fact, this is a unique experience that will allow you to try diving in fresh and crystalline water caves.
